Charity

Freemasonry as a whole gives large sums to charity, and these monies are contributed by masons directly, from their own pockets, rather than collected from members of the public. You can read here more about the work of the Grand Charity. In Hampshire, our recent big push has been to help the Royal Masonic Trust for Girls and Boys, for which the Province raised more than 7m over a period of ten years

In addition, lodges support many local charities.
